Searching through old reel-to-reel tapes, we just discovered an interview with 24 year old Lance Armstrong from 1995. Ironically, Lance had been on hold that night waiting to come to the show while Steve Scott, America’s premiere miler, was on with Bob promoting his Steve Scott Festival on Miles. Steve had recently been diagnosed with testicular cancer. When Lance came on, he spoke about how much he respected Steve Scott and hoped that Steve would be able to beat testicular cancer.
