by | Dec 04, 2006 |

cmrWhen special education teacher and long time triathlete Jon ‘Blazeman’ Blais was diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease, he knew that he had just received a death sentence. Usually people with ALS live for between one and two years after being diagnosed. But instead of feeling sorry for himself, Blazeman launched a frontal attack on a disease that impacts thousands of lives each and every year. Blazeman then went to the 2005 Ironman and with his log roll across the line, he impacted people worldwide with his courage.
