Desiree Davila ran her first marathon in 2007 in Boston and went 2:44:56. How much has she improved? At the 2011 Boston Marathon she ran the third fastest marathon for an American woman in history with a 2:22:38 and finished a mere two seconds off of the win. How does someone go from 2:44 to 2:22 in the span of four years and also qualify for the 2012 US Olympic Marathon Team?
