Don Shanahan

Don Shanahan was a 2:29 marathoner when he and his buddies at the San Diego Track Club decided to put on a little event back in 1974. It started with a run, then a short bike ride before finishing up with a dip in Mission Bay. He called the new creation ‘triathlon’ and the world was changed forever. Don came in studio to swim, bike and run down memory lane with us.

Tyler Stewart
