Inga Thompson

In her career, Inga Thompson raced on three U.S. Olympic cycling teams, won four national championships, and finished second in two world championships. Her recent letter about the state of cycling was eye opening to say the least. Inga is a woman with opinions who is obviously not afraid to express them or to name names. GREAT conversation!

Renee Metivier Baillie

Renee Metivier Baillie (Ma-tee-vee-aaa Bailey) spent the better part of the past seven years dealing with a serious Achilles tendon issue. After heading to Sweden and having surgery, Renee is now finally healthy. In September she won the 20K national championship on the road before heading off to Chicago in October and running 2:27 in her first ever marathon. Besides being a great runner with huge potential, you can tell from the interview how excited she is just to be able to run pain free again.

Alberto Salazar

Shannon Rowbury

Shannon Rowbury was on the U.S. track and field team at 1,500 meters in both 2008 and 2012, making it to the finals both times and finishing higher – seventh in 2008 and then sixth in 2012 – than any American woman in history. She grew up in the Bay Area and her first international competitions were in Irish Dancing, not in cross country or track.
