Austin Murphy

Austin Murphy is a long-time writer for Sports Illustrated, and during his career he has covered everything from the Super Bowl to the Tour de France. He has written numerous books including The Sweet Season, The Happiness of Pursuit, and Unstoppable. During our chat we covered everything from Austin’s thoughts on cycling and Lance Armstrong to his recent Zappos.com Rock ‘N’ Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon adventure dressed as Elvis for an upcoming piece in Sports Illustrated.

Jim Knaub

Jim Knaub started out as a pole vaulter and made it to the Olympic Trials. Then, after getting hit by a car while on his motorcycle and becoming a paraplegic, he re-invented the sport of wheelchair racing and won the Boston Marathon five times and the Los Angeles Marathon three times. In his mind, though, his most important victories came when he was able to motivate others to get back into the game of life after trauma. Jim Knaub is a true legend of endurance sports and is always a great interview.

Craig Curley

Craig Curley won the Columbus Marathon on October 23rd in a time of 2:19:01. But Craig is much more than just a great young runner on the rise. He is from Kinlichee, a small community of 1,000 residents in Arizona, and every time he races, he knows that he is representing all Native Americans and the Navajo Nation.
