Andre Kajlich lost both legs above the knee and almost lost his life in a horrific accident in Prague back in 2003. So how has he adapted? By becoming one of the world’s best wheelchair athletes, being named the 2012 Paratriathlete of the Year by USA Triathlon and taking second in Kona in 2011 and first in 2012. But all of that was a small-time appetizer compared to the Brazil 135 mile off-road monster he just finished. It was off-road, he was in a wheelchair, and the non-stop event featured 33,000 fee of gain, 29,000 of descent, and it took him over 62 hours to complete. Amazing story.
