It was a classic. The three-time Ironman World Champion Craig Alexander dueling it out with 10-time Ironman New Zealand Champion Cam Brown at the first ever Ironman Melbourne. Crowie came on to chat about the race, how he has changed his game through the years, and the challenges he faces balancing his racing, training, traveling and promotional opportunities with spending quality time with his wife, Neri, and their two young children. Craig also talks about the possibility of Lance, Lieto, Macca, himself, the Raelert brothers, and so many others going head-to-head in Kona in October.

Chris McCormack came on after winning Lava Man to chat about his prospects for making the Aussie Olympic team. Craig Alexander joined us from his training camp in Kona, Hawaii a few weeks before the 2010 Ironman. He is getting ready to try to win his third title in a row and to move into a very elite fraternity.

Back in 2007 Craig Alexander came to Kona to do his first Ironman World Championship. He ended up second to fellow Aussie Chris McCormack in his first attempt and we chatted with the man nicknamed Crowie not long after the race.

Chris Lieto had the race of his life at the 2009 Ford Ironman World Championship, led for the better part of the day, but ended up second to a fast closing Craig Alexander. He came on to discuss his thoughts on the race and the improvements in his running that came from spending six weeks in Mammoth training with Ryan Hall, Deena Kastor, Josh Cox and New York City Marathon champion Meb Kelflezighi.
