Kona Countdown: Craig Alexander

Back in 2007 Craig Alexander came to Kona to do his first Ironman World Championship. He ended up second to fellow Aussie Chris McCormack in his first attempt and we chatted with the man nicknamed Crowie not long after the race.

cmrCraig Alexander is one of the few triathletes who can be competitive at all distances, an athlete who is a throwback to the days of Greg Welch and Mark Allen. He may have surprised a lot of folks with his second place finish and 2:45 marathon in Kona on October 13th, but certainly not himself. This is a guy who totally understands what it takes to be the best in the world and is primed to run under 2:40 the next time he tees it up in Kona.
