cmr2Luc Van Lierde is one of my all-time favorite athletes. Who else runs his first marathon ever during the 1996 Ironman World Championship, goes 2:41:48 and not only wins the Ironman in his first ever attempt at it, but sets a course record (8:04:08) that would stand for the next 15 years.

In the past year he has lost 30 pounds and completed both an Olympic distance event and a 70.3 race. He came on to chat about the impact of the Ironman World Championship on his island and how much he is loving his new lifestyle.
