They call Ned Overend ‘The Lung.’ At the age of 50, he has accomplished anything and everything in the world of endurance sports including completing the Ironman Triathlon in 1980, making the US team for road cycling, finishing second twice at the Pike’s Peak Marathon, winning 6 NORBA National titles and two World Championships as a mountain biker, two XTERRA mountain bike triathlon world titles and now the 50-54 year old division at the Cyclocross Nationals.
