James Sheremeta is a top San Diego based runner and coach. For over ten years he and his wife, Cheryl, have been the head coaches for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program that is getting runners ready for the Rock N Roll San Diego Marathon and Half Marathon coming up on June 2nd. James came on to talk about the amazing success of TNT – $1.3 billion raised and over 540,000 athletes participating in endurance events since 1988 – the fact that you can still sign up to train for and run the Rock N Roll San Diego event -www.teamintraining.org – and the great changes that have been made for the 2013 event – a downtown San Diego finish and a brand new course plus earlier marathon and half marathon starts.
Hunter Kemper was hoping to make his fourth U.S. Olympic Triathlon team, but he was coming off of a catastrophic accident at a race in Myrtle Beach, four operations on his elbow and seven months without racing. Kemper used all of that as fuel on race day in San Diego.
